Transport & Packaging

Transport
The transfer of the stacks of moulds to/from the kilns can be achieved either by a man-operated forklift or by totally automated systems, such as transfer/finger car systems and racks. Other automated systems are available, depending on product requirements, building parameters, and owner objectives.
Cubing/Packaging
A variety of packaging systems can be implemented into the machinery lines. Hand packaging systems are common. Other alternatives are flat stack or on-edge packaging for flat slabs, using traditional vacuum or clamp style cubing systems. Complete robotics is also available which can pick and place an individual stone or product and place it into a unique package sequence. Robots can also allow quality control of each piece and the alternative to keep or discard the unit prior to packaging. There are also systems to handle many small products per layer than cannot be handled by traditional systems or robots.
Surface Treatment
Sand blast surface treatment is available for specialized after production effects.
