Dosing Systems

Multiple options for dosing (filling) of the moulds are available. A highly innovative, versatile, and reliable volumetric dosing system has been functioning for many producers since the first systems were brought onto the market in the early 1980´s. It has been constantly improved throughout the years to add in colour blending, face-mix, larger carrier size, lower maintenance, and other enhancements.

Timed based and weigh based screw dosing systems were introduced during the last ten years. These systems can be simple or sophisticated, involving multiple colours, automatic recognition of product through scanning systems, depending on product requirements and customer needs.
Operator assisted, vibration based dosing systems have become popular with artistic based customers who have highly variable or extremely small products to be dosed that cannot be dosed automatically, or whose specialized product requirements are so sophisticated that the artisan aspect cannot be removed from the dosing operation.

Different types of dosing systems can be combined in a machine line to provide different levels of capability. Other producers prefer to create multiple lines to separate repetitive, high volume production lines from high artistic or specialized lines, generally consisting of lower volume and shorter runs.
